Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara [ZNMD] got a great opening at multiplexes compared to single screens. The occupancy at plexes ranged from 70%, 80%, even 100% at several areas. The early estimates of the film should be more than Rs 7.5 cr. However the film needs to pick up drastically in single screens.
The film was released in1,800 screens worldwide. ZNMD’s business to a certain extent got affected due to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2. The 3D version of the film in India reported 100% occupancy.
In the meanwhile, Murder 2 proved quite a winner at the BO for Bhatt camp. After collecting Rs. 22.35 cr nett for first three days, the film over all for the first week collected Rs. 36.5 cr nett and thus becoming a super hit.
Although the business got affected badly due to Mumbai blasts on Wednesday and Thursday, considering the film’s budget, Bhatt camp will be more than happy for sure.
Murder 2 is the second biggest opener of the year. The reach of the film was in such a manner that Bhatts decided to go ahead with Murder 3 too.
Salman Khan’s first production ‘Chillar Party’ owing to good reviews has picked up with each day. The film had a decent run in weekdays especially after its poor opening [45 lakhs]. The film collected Rs 5.1 cr nett for the first week.
On the other hand, Delhi Belly made on a budget of Rs 30 cr has till now collected Rs 52 cr+nett. Delhi Belly is the second highest grosser of the year after Ready and is a super duper hit in the making.
