Microsoft has released a Platform Preview of Internet Explorer 10 for the developers. The next version of IE is very promising and has added a lot of support for the CSS3 and HTML5 tags and DOCTYPEs. Some of the key highlights of this version are:
Better Hardware acceleration for efficient battery consumption
Sandbox and iFrame isolation that provides security for web applications
Improved Web Workers with a new JavaScript alogithm that would make them load in the background.
IE 10 now support HTML5 parsing algorithm fully.
The IE 10 Platform Preview is now available for download from Microsoft. The browser looks really neat with a minimalist layout. But then , this is just a Platform Preview release and many more is yet to come in the future. The video below shows the best of the performance that IE can give to the end-user.
The video demonstrated a fountain in front of the monument, which is completely being rendered by the new JavaScript engine and HTML5 parser.
